Danielle Casós is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where she graduated with her Specialist of Music and Master of Music degrees. This summer, Danielle will be a Vocal Fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center where she will participate in several vocal and chamber music concerts. In the 2026-2027 season, Danielle will be a Baumgartner Studio Artist at the Florentine Opera, where she will sing the roles of Flora in La Traviata and La Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi.

In the 2025-2026 season, Danielle joined Toledo Opera as a Resident Artist, where she sang the role of Mercédès in Carmen and covered Gianetta in L’elisir d’amore. In the 2024-2025 season, Danielle performed the leading role of Esperanza in an orchestral workshop of The House on Mango Street with UMich’s SMTD Opera Lab. In October, she joined Kentucky Opera’s Sandford Studio Artist program, where she performed as Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly and covered the role of Suzuki. In 2025, she was seen in UMich’s MainStage production of The Turn of the Screw as Mrs. Grose.

Other major roles that Danielle performed during her time at the University of Michigan include Elizabeth Cree in Elizabeth Cree (2024), Zerlina in Don Giovanni (2023), and Lišàk/Fox Gold-Stripe in Cunning Little Vixen (2022). Danielle won the Graduate Division of the University of Michigan Friends of Opera Competition in 2022. She also received an Encouragement Award in the Michigan District of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition in 2022.

In the summer of 2023, Danielle participated in the Bonfils-Stanton Studio Artist program at Central City Opera, where she performed scenes from Don Giovanni, Così fan tutte, and Die Zauberflöte for their Short Works program. In 2022, Danielle was a Lehrer Vocal Institute Fellow at the Music Academy of the West, where she covered the role of Olga in Eugene Onegin.

In 2022, Danielle was invited by her alma mater, Utah State University (USU), to originate the role of Older Leah in the world premiere of Uncovered by Lori Laitman with libretto by Leah Lax. During her undergraduate degree at USU, Danielle was a winner of the USU Concerto Competition in 2019, won 1st Place in the USU Aria Competition in 2020, and was awarded the Presser Undergraduate Scholar Award. Danielle performed the roles of Mother in Hänsel and Gretel (2019) and Nerone in a movie-style presentation of L’incoronazione di Poppea in 2021.

When she’s not singing, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband and her two cats, playing video games, practicing Spanish, reading, or making a good cup of coffee. She can be seen working as a barista at the occasional pop-up event with Sundazed Coffee Co. and Go Brew Coffee Co. throughout Southeast Michigan!
